Deep sea and feeder

How can we help you?

With its strategic location, advanced infrastructure and excellent connections via deep sea, short sea, road, rail and inland shipping, the port of Rotterdam has developed into a world-class logistics hub. The port is therefore not only the gateway to the Netherlands and Europe, but (container) logistics in its entirety also forms the backbone of European trade and industry.

Rotterdam has deepsea connections to more than 1,000 international ports. Because of their location on the Maas Entrance, terminals can be reached from the sea within two hours of sailing. Due to the depth of more than 20 metres, shipping companies are able to maximise the use of their vessels. As a result, the port of Rotterdam is also the first and last port of call for the largest container ships (more than 24,000 TEU). This can quickly save several days on the total transport time.

Feeder connections in Rotterdam

Rotterdam has a wide range of high-frequency feeder services, with destinations such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Scandinavia and the Baltic States. These services connect seamlessly with the calls from deepsea vessels in the port of Rotterdam. Some feeder operators combine their services with short-sea shipping, allowing for even more departures.

Take advantage of seaport dues discounts
