International
The port of Rotterdam is a global hub for international trade and home to some of the world's leading industrial clusters. As Europe’s largest sea port it is one of the leaders of the energy transition and is committed to digitisation to make the port, and the supply chains, more efficient.
Port of Rotterdam Authority uses its knowledge and experience to manage and develop ports and industrial areas internationally.
OUR PARTNERSHIPS
The Port of Rotterdam Authority is a co-shareholder in SOHAR Port and Freezone in Oman and the Pecém industrial and port complex in Northeastern Brazil. Both locations have excellent potential for renewable energy development, owing to their abundance of sun and wind. With extensive experience in port infrastructure and reliable logistics solutions, the Port of Rotterdam Authority makes a valuable contribution.
Strategic supply chains for sustainable energy and raw materials via Rotterdam
The Port of Rotterdam Authority is actively working on international collaborations to develop strategic supply chains for green fuels and critical raw materials. The import of green fuels contributes to reducing dependence on fossil fuels in Northwestern Europe and thus supports the achievement of climate objectives. Critical raw materials are of vital importance to European economies. Thanks to its pioneering role in sustainability and excellent facilities, the port of Rotterdam is ideally suited for the transhipment, processing and storage of these raw materials – and in the near future, also for green fuels.
