The Port Authority is working with various partners towards the introduction of a large-scale hydrogen network across the port complex, making Rotterdam an international hub for hydrogen production, import, application and transport.

The Port of Rotterdam Authority is a co-shareholder in SOHAR Port and Freezone in Oman and the Pecém industrial and port complex in Northeastern Brazil. Strategic supply chains for sustainable energy and raw materials via Rotterdam

The Port of Rotterdam Authority is actively working on international collaborations to develop strategic supply chains for green fuels and critical raw materials. The import of green fuels contributes to reducing dependence on fossil fuels in Northwestern Europe and thus supports the achievement of climate objectives. Critical raw materials are of vital importance to European economies. Thanks to its pioneering role in sustainability and excellent facilities, the port of Rotterdam is ideally suited for the transhipment, processing and storage of these raw materials – and in the near future, also for green fuels.
